Qualifications for the post of soldier in Army Sainik Job Circular 2025:

A. General Trade (GD) – Male and Female.
(1) Age Limit: Not less than 17 years and not more than 20 years as on 01 February 2026 (Affidavit is not acceptable).
(2) Educational Qualification: Passed SSC/equivalent (Madrasa/Technical/Open) examination with minimum GPA-3.00.

B. Technical Trade (TT) – Male and Female.
(1) Age Limit: Not less than 17 years and not more than 21 years as on 01 February 2026 (Affidavit not acceptable). Age limit is relaxable by 01 year i.e. 17 to 22 years only for candidates with experience in driving profession.
(2) Educational/Technical Qualification:
a. SSC Vocational with relevant technical subjects passed with minimum GPA-3.00.
b. SSC/equivalent (Madrasa/Technical/Open) examination passed with minimum GPA-3.00 and eligible for relevant trade course of minimum 3 months duration as per Table 1 below from an institution approved by the Technical Education Board. Candidates having completed Science Department/Diploma course will be given preference.

Physical Standard (Minimum) Qualification for Application for Soldier Post:

Nationality: Bangladeshi citizen (male and female)

Health Examination: Eligible for health examination.

Marital Status: Single (not divorced/divorced).

Swimming: Swimming is essential (minimum 50 meters).

Application Fee: A candidate can apply for General (GD) and Technical Trade (TT) subject to the necessary qualifications. In addition, candidates who are members of BNCC, children of army personnel (SS) and trained from TTTIs can apply separately. In all cases, applications must be made through SMS and online. Procedure for applying online for the post of soldier in Bangladesh Army: Rules for applying through SMS and online – Male and Female
1st step of applying for the post of soldier in the army:

■ The candidate seeking admission must first apply (SMS) through Teletalk prepaid SIM. In this case, for admission to the post of soldier, the following information must be typed and sent to 16222 by going to the message option:

1. In the case of General (GD) candidates, the first SMS must be typed as follows.

2. In case of Technical Trade (TT) candidates, the first SMS should be sent by typing as follows.

The admission test of candidates seeking admission in Technical Trade (TT) will be as per Table-1, in this case, the center code of the center where the candidate wishes to take the exam and the trade code of the trade in which the candidate wishes to take admission as per Table-1 should be given in the SMS.

BNCC members can apply for General Trade (BNCCGD) and Technical Trade (BNCCTT) subject to eligibility.

2nd Step of Applying for the Post of Soldier in the Army:

2. Second SMS: After sending the first SMS, Teletalk will verify the information of the candidate and provide an SMS containing a PIN number to the eligible candidate. Subject to receiving the PIN number, if the concerned candidate wishes to apply, he/she will have to send the second SMS again as given below. Note that a total of 300/- Taka (200/- for entrance exam fee and 100/- for online registration fee) will be deducted at the time of sending the 2nd SMS, so the mobile balance must be more than 300/- Taka.

In case of female candidates, FSAINIK should be typed instead of SAINIK and sent in the first and second SMS.

3rd step of applying for the post of soldier in the armyA:

The job seeker who has completed the second SMS correctly will be given a user ID and password through SMS. You will have to log in to http://sainik.teletalk.com.bd with the said USER ID and Password and fill the online application form. Fill the application form in the following manner.

• First, enter the website http://sainik.teletalk.com.bd.
• Then login with your User ID and Password.
• Now fill the job form for the soldier post in Bangladesh Army with all your information. Click on the Next button to go to the next page.
• Check the information carefully again and go to the bottom.
• Attach your color photo.
• Click on the Submit button to complete the application.
• Now save the “Applicant’s Copy” of the soldier post in Bangladesh Army on your mobile or computer and print it.

Eligible candidates will be selected through health examination, physical examination, written examination (Bangla, English, Mathematics, General Knowledge and Intelligence) and interview. The following certificates/photographs/writing materials must be brought along while applying for the soldier post in the Bangladesh Army.

Original certificate/marksheet of educational qualification, photocopy must be attested, but the original certificate must be presented later.

• Attested photocopy of national identity card/smart card of father and mother.
• 06 copies of recent passport size (5 cm x 4 cm) and 02 copies of stamp size (2.5 cm x 2 cm) attested photographs. The background of the photograph should be blue/sky blue color. The clothing worn should be light colored.
• Necessary clothing for taking the swimming test (on the scheduled day of the swimming test).
• Pen, geometry box, pencil, scale and clipboard etc. for the written test.
• In case of tribals, certificate of their king/tribal head/city corporation/UP chairman as proof of tribal identity.
• Training certificate on tailoring work in the field of tailoring profession.
